Brookmost Pty Ltd provides commercial agency services including collections, investigations, process serving and repossessions to law firms, corporations, collection companies, corporations, government and the public.

Collecting personal information is essential for Brookmost Pty Ltd to conduct its business. In all services performed Brookmost Pty Ltd acts as an agent for a principal, engaged to undertake specific functions.
We collect personal information through a number of sources. Where possible we obtain personal information directly from the individual, additionally given the circumstances of our work, we are obliged to gather information through interviews with witnesses and persons of interest.
USE AND DISCLOSURE
Brookmost Pty Ltd uses and discloses personal information in relation to commercial agency services to our clients to assist in the management of litigated and non-litigated matters. In compliance with the National Privacy Principals any personal information obtained by us is used and disclosed only for this primary purpose of collection. Brookmost Pty Ltd will only use or disclose information for a secondary purpose in compliance with the National Privacy Principals.
DATA QUALITY
Brookmost Pty Ltd takes reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information collected, used or disclosed is accurate, complete and up to date. In this respect we rely on the personal information collected from the individual to be accurate, complete and up to date and expect to be notified by the individual of any changes or inaccuracies in this information.
SECURITY
Reasonable steps are maintained by Brookmost Pty Ltd to protect personal information from being misused, lost or accessed, modified or disclosed by unauthorised personnel. Brookmost Pty Ltd utilises a number of means and procedures to protect your personal information including: maintaining state of the art technology to prevent unauthorised computer access; restricted access to personal information; external and internal premise security; and by entering into confidentiality agreements with all employees, contractors and third party organisations. Additionally, when we no longer require your personal information it is our procedure to securely destroy the information or delete it from our system.
OPENNESS
Brookmost Pty Ltd will in accordance with National Privacy Principals make available all personal information held by our office upon request. Brookmost Pty Ltd will endeavour to process all requests for access within 30 days of receipt or the request.
ACCESS AND CORRECTION
Brookmost Pty Ltd may refuse access to personal information in a number of circumstances such as where denying access is required or authorised by law, where information relates to existing or anticipated legal proceedings between our principal and the individual or if the request for access is regarded as frivolous or vexatious.
If we refuse your request for access to personal information an explanation why you are unable to access the information will be given.
For access to information held in archives, a fee may be charged to cover the cost or retrieval and the supply of this information to you.
IDENTIFIERS
Brookmost Pty Ltd employs its own numerical identification system when identifying individuals. It does not adopt any identifier assigned by a government agency such as a tax file number, Medicare number or drivers license number as a means of identifying personal information collected about an individual.
ANONYMITY
Brookmost Pty Ltd gives individuals the option to interact anonymously whenever it is lawful and practicable to do so.
TRANSBORDER DATA FLOWS
Personal information held by Brookmost Pty Ltd is not sent outside Australia unless the company is authorised to do so by law.
